What it is
Physical discomfort is a serious obstacle to meditation.

When you struggle to maintain posture, muscle fatigue and pain build up, causing the mind to become restless. It begins to fixate on the back, the knees, or the effort of simply staying seated — and the practice loses its depth and clarity.

A traditional meditation belt (gomtag) helps remove this obstacle.
By supporting the body in a simple and natural way, it allows physical strain to soften, so attention is no longer constantly pulled back to discomfort.

As the body settles, the mind can settle too. Meditation becomes more stable, more focused, and deep.

These belts are also used for specialized Buddhist practices like Tsa Lung Trul Khor, Dzogchen Longde, Dzogchen Rushen and Semdzin.

How It Works:
The belt stretches between the knees and the lower back, creating a gentle, balanced tension through the body.

This tension helps support the spine in an upright position without harsh effort or rigidity. Instead of holding the posture only through muscular force, the body receives a clear structural support.

Our Approach
Our belts are made in a small family workshop and shaped by years of personal practice. Over time, we refined one clear model — adjusting the length, proportions, construction, and materials until it became the version we trust most in real use.

For us, making practice tools is part of the practice itself: a careful process of attention, patience, and respect for what truly works.

We do not keep a large fixed stock or produce belts in endless variations. Our workshop works on a small scale, and much depends on the availability of truly good materials.

We try to stay close to a consistent and often traditional sense of color, but exact options may vary from time to time. If the right fabric is not available, we simply do not sew until it is.

This is why the best way to choose a belt is to contact us directly. We will let you know which pieces are currently available and help you find the option that suits you best.

For us, quality always comes first — never speed, never quantity.

For remote retreats or outdoor practice, they can easily serve as a portable altar base or a clean surface for tsog, torma, sang, sur, or serkyem offerings.

After experimenting with various designs, we settled on this shape for the support piece and the shaft to make it as comfortable and versatile as possible. The smoothly rounded edges and minimalist profile make the stick both visually elegant and highly ergonomic during practice.

Each stick is made from premium Elm wood, prized for its remarkable strength, beautiful natural grain pattern, and innate resistance to moisture, decay, and wear. To protect and highlight the wood's texture, every piece is treated with high-quality Minwax wood oil, carefully polished, and sealed with a final wax finish.

Designed with portability in mind, they come in three detachable sections, making the stick easy to assemble, take apart, store, and travel with.

Tsa-tsas are traditional Tibetan Buddhist figures cast from clay or plaster. They usually take the form of bas-relief deities or small stupas. Tsa-tsas serve as physical supports for meditation or are respectfully left in natural environments. Additionally, they are often used to fill larger stupas and statues.

Keeping such tsa-tsas, especially filled with sacred substances, in your home is highly beneficial. They fill your life with the blessings of all Buddhas, granting well-being, health, and good fortune, while supporting inner transformation and the wisdom to overcome life's difficulties.

We craft tsa-tsas following traditional guidelines. Using high-quality sculpture plaster and premium paints, we achieve exceptional durability and refined detail. Inside, each piece holds scrolls with essential mantras, alongside many blessed substances (see the link below for details). To protect them from moisture, every tsa-tsa is carefully primed, painted, and sealed with a protective varnish.
